[Study on rearing of grouper larvae (Epinephelus malabaricus) in 1985]

In 1985, study on larval rearing was conducted in roofed outdoor pond of 26 cubic meter stocking density was about 200,000-500,000 inds/pond and 4 rearing trial were carried out. Tha various kinds of food were given to the larvae in various ages which were Rotifer (Brachionus plicatilis), Artemia (Artemia salina), Moina sp. and minced fish. In the 1 st, 2 nd, and 4 th rearing trial all of larvae died in 12 th, 19 th, and 41 st day after rearing respectively. In the 3 rd rearing trial only 10,262 juveniles survived after rearing 60 days (survival rate 5 %).
