Interaction between zinc and sulphur in soils [Scottish]

The availability of Zn and S and the micronutrients, Fe, Mn and Cu, with Zn and S fertilization under anaerobic condition in two Scottish soils was investigated. Thirty-two days of continuous soil submergence caused significant decrease in both Zn and S contents. No significant interaction between these two was found. Available Fe increased significantly with submergence, while Mn showed a sharp initial increase followed by a rapid decrease in both soils. Copper content decreased continuously with submergence.
