Fourteen milk goats were treated with metoclopramide during their lactation period. The compositions of milk, yield and cAMP and cGMP of milk were determined. The results showed that (1) Metoclopramide can obviously increase milk yield of the goats. During the period of using the chemicals, the milk production of the experimental group has increased by 12.5%, but the control group only by 0.93% with difference being remarkble (p0.01); (2) The content of lactose, fat and protein in milk from both group remained almost the same (p0.05); (3) Metoclopramide can significantly increase cAMP and cGMP in milk. In addition, the increasing rate of the cAMP and cGMP demonstrated a strong correlation with that of the milk yield (p0.01)
