The important feed stuffs have been steadily increased to meet the needs. Because of the financial importance of the whole matter and the absence of Greek standards referring to the quality control of these products, a study has been carried out in the Veterinary Institute of Physiopathology Reproduction and Nutrition of Animals. A total of 341 samples have been examined. The examinations concerned the microbiological indices. Suggestions are made for the legislation of Greek standards
