The herbicide Pivot 100 LC, which contains the active agent imazethapyr, was applied post-emergently at a rate of 0.8 l/ha after sowing. Depending on the seed quantity, it resulted in a 26.4-31.2 o/o reduction in the gross weed weight at harvesting. Experience shows that the mass of monocotyledonous weeds decreased to a greater extent than that of dicotyledonous. Among the dicotyledonous weeds, which belong mainly to the T4 type, the proportion of Chenopodium album, Sonchus oleraceus and Hibiscus trionum rose slightly in plots treated with Pivot 100 LC. Due to changes in the weed competition conditions, Cirsium arvense (G3) also gained ground. When Pivot 100 LC (imazethapyr) and Scepter 150 LC (imazaquin) were used to treat stands in late winter, they were more selective than when applied later, when the stand had reached a height of 5-7 cm. The preparations also show favourable selectivity against voluntarily emerging plants of bird's foot trefoil
