The experiment used 60 laying hens Hubbard Golden Comet Strain, 28 weeks old. The split plot design with basic Complete Randomized Design was applied in this experiment with three rations i.e.: M0 ration without the rumen content of local cattle (as control); M1-ration with four percent rumen content of local cattle substitution of the rice bran; M2-ration with six percent rumen content of local cattle substitution of the rice bran; M3-ration with nine percent rumen content of local cattle substitution of the rice bran. The subplot treatment, eggs were taken every week until ten weeks. The parameter in this experiment were the yolk colour by Card (1961) and Roche standard. The result analysis of variance showed ration has no significant effect (P0,05), but the period has high significant effect on egg yolk colour.
