The population of silver pomfret (Zobaidy), Pampus argenteus in the north-western Arabian Gulf has been studied from March, 1989 to August, 1990. The results indicate that the Zobaidy stock in the region increased during the last years. The copepods formed 90.4 of the zooplankton. The bottom sediments are muddy-sandy-silty to sandy-muddy
