Better coffee farming: pruning and change of cycle
1992
Highlights the pruning system and change of cycle used in coffee farming. It is recommended that a bearing head of 1.68 m and 1.37 m is maintained for traditional varieties grown in high and low attitudes areas respectively. Pruning and capped multiple coffee plants widely practiced by estate holders should have a bearing head maintained within an area of 1.3 m while the coffee stems are capped at a height not exceeding 1.83 m
