Diseased African catfish Clarias gariepinus (Teugels 1984) were collected from two commercial fish farms at Abeokuta and Jos. They were examined for bacterial diseases. Bacterial pathogens were isolated and identified. The organisms recovered include Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas alcaligenes, Pseudomonas putida, and Pseudomonas pyocyanea from the snout of blind fish, eroded barbel, snout and ulcer on the skin respectively
