The article evaluates the effect of adding manure to fish pond on the bacteriological water quality. The various micro organisms isolated from the pond water included heterotrophic species capable of utilizing the supplied organic substrates, and some opportunistic pathogens. Sun drying of the organic substrates will eliminate or reduce bacterial load and culture environment will be less contaminated
