In the high elevation trial, the potential yield of six potato clones was higher than that of the check variety Granola. Clone (3778315 x Morene)-14 with a yield of 26.3 t/ha was the only entry significantly different from Granola. The yield advantage of superior clones was brought about more by a higher number of tubers rather than a higher average tuber weight. The combined analysis of the performance of 13 clones over two seasons showed a significant interaction between variety and season for potential yield as well as other traits evaluated. The results indicate that further trials are needed to determine the yield stability of the promising clones. In the low elevation trial, three CIP clones outyielded the check variety Banahaw although the average potential yield was relatively low compared to last year's results. The advantage of the selections in weight per marketable tuber and number of marketable tubers per hill contributed significantly to their superior performance
