Enzymatic versus detergent method of estimation of fibre and its fractions in millet and soybean hulls

The content of fibre and its fraction in millet and soybean hulls by the van Soest (detergent) method and various enzymatic methods was determined. The higher total fibre content by 2 percent in millet hulls and by 17 percent in soybean hulls in the enzymatic method than in the detergent methods was estimated. The lower lignin content in detergent method than in enzymatic one was stated
