Effect of ultraviolet irradiation on some blood parameters and performance of broiler chickens

Four experiments in broiler house with 18000 broiler chickens were carried out. The effect of ultraviolet irradiation at dose: 12, 24 or 50 mer per 1 h per 1 sq. m daily as well as 12 mer per 1 h per 1 sq. m one a week was estimated. The beneficial effect of UV irradiation on broiler chicken health status (mortality) was stated. No effect of UV irradiation on blood globulin content and weight gain in broiler chickens was observed
