Control objects consisted of fertilization with Azofoska, birch bark with ash, birch bark and manure. It was found that coal ash doses used in the experiment decreased the yield of black currant. The decrease of yield increased with increasing ash doses. Fertilization with manure, Azofoska and birch bark increased black currant yield. Fruit from plants fertilized with coal ash contained increased amounts of macro- and micronutrients. No effect was observed on the content of organic compounds
