Application of conceptual rainfall-runoff model for flood hydrographs evaluation in ungauged watersheds

The paper describes an algorithm for probable flood flows computation based on rainfall-runoff transformation. Conceptual model developed by Wackermann is used with Soil Conservation Service CN method for effective rain determination. Empirical formulae make possible model usage for ungauged watersheds. Optimization computation for rainfall-runoff data from 28 controlled watersheds has shown satisfactory agreement between optimized and calculated from empirical formulae model parameters. Computer program for IBM PC/AT microcomputer was developed for practical calculation
