Phyllody disease was recorded on faba bean during the 1990/91 season in Wadi Hadramout, where infestation reached as high as 69 in early sown faba bean. The objective of this study was to determine yield loss and changes in yield attributes caused by phyllody infection. The results showed that the infection significantly decreased the grain yield, 100-grain weight and number of mature pods by 95, 84, and 88, respectively, but infection significantly increased dry weight of plants, plant height and number of immature pods by 63, 5, and 407, respectively, compared with healthy plants
