In the period from 1981 to 1991 the extraction of 24211 soil samples was performed in the total arable area of 4217,7ha situated in various regions in Slovenia in which 397 cysts of the H. schachtii and 2094 cysts of the H. cruciferae were found. The coefficient of appearance K (K = number of cysts/samples) ranges between 0,01 and 5,5 for H. schachtii and 0,02 and 11,3 for H. cruciferae
