In the foundation year the standard sowing rates resulted in the sufficient density of the stand with 4 clover-grass mixtures at the different level of fertilization and water regime. In spite of initial weediness, repeated mowing reduced weeds to minimum. The additional irrigation affected the agrobotanic groups of grasses and clovers only slightly. Additional irrigation and nitrogenous fertilization affected the group of grass components in dependence on their evolution degree and aggressivity. Grass components in the mixture with rye-grass as a basic component, achieved a higher proportion (48.2-48.3-52.9 percent) at the application rate of 50 kg of N.ha-1
