The contents of Fe, Cu, Zn, Co, Mn, As, Cd, Pb and Mo in feed mixture for sows (PBK) and in mixture for fattening pigs (VUL) were evaluated. At the same time the concentration of given elements in liver, kidneys, musculature of heart and leg were examined. The feed mixture VUL contained more Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, Co, Mo, and As. On the contrary, PBK mixture contained more Cd and Pb. Fattening pigs had significantly lower content of Cd, Pb in liver, Co, Mn, Cd, Pb in kidneys, Zn, Co, Mn, As, Pb in musculature of heart and Fe, Cu, Zn, Co, Mn, Cd, Pb in the musculature of thigh. On the contrary, liver and kidneys contained significantly more molybdenum. The content of cadmium in both mixtures exceeded the permitted standard. The sanitary standard of cadmium in liver as well as kidneys in sows was exceeded too. Zinc concentration exceeded the permitted level in liver and kidneys of sows as well as fattening pigs.
