The paper provides an overview of tree crop development in Sierra Leone. The cultivation and production patterns, as well as yield and export trends of oil palm, palm kernel, coffee and cocoa, among others, are highlighted. The problems and constraints to development and promotion of tree crop farming in Sierra Leone are discussed. Finally, policy guidelines and strategies considered critical to tree crop development are outlined.
