Development of a three open pan with drying chamber stove for wet fuel wood was studied. This stove was operated to evaporate sugar palm sap in the three open pans and further supply heat energy for drying wet fuel wood before exhausting to chimney. The stove was evaluated for instantaneous heat utilization by evaporation of water in the three open pans and for drying performance of wet palm petioles. The utilization thermal efficiency was only 35% with a fuel feed rate of 0.22 Kg/min. The drying performance showed a good result, with average constant temperature difference of 55 deg Celsius between inlet and outlet of the chamber. Approximate drying rate was 0.02 Kg/min. During the tests, thin white smoke from the chimney was observed.
