Systems simulation for optimum plot size and shape of sweet corns grown in farmer's field

Corn yields are generated for 192 basic units by simulation method. They are assumed to be independent and normally distributed with mean 2.7182 kg. and variance 0.8048 sq.kg. The 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x2, 1x6, 2x3, 8x1, 2x4, 1x12 and 1x16 plot size are studied. Minimium variance per unit area was obtained for rectangular plot shape of size 1x3 to 1x4 basic units or approximately 17-22.5 square metres.
