Haque, M.E. (Bangladesh Agricultural Research Inst., Gazipur (Bangladesh). Entomoloty Div.)
The LD50 values of zinc phosphide for both male and female Nesokia indica was 28.18 mg/kg. Four dose levels (10, 20, 40 and 80 mg/kg) were tested. No mortality at 10 mg/kg and 100% mortality at 80 mg/kg dose level were observed. In choice and no-choice test with 2% zinc phosphide in wheat flour and 2% zinc phosphide bait, 100% mortality was observed within 3 days. Bioassay test indicated that 2% bait produced satisfactory control of the species.
