Correlation and path coefficients analysis were carried out on nineteen mulberry genotypes consisting of 9 exotic and 10 Indian collection to find out the association of different characters for leaf production in mulberry. Out of all contributing characters studied leaf yield was found to be positive and significantly associated with total stem weight, 100 leaf weight, total branch height but insignificantly positively correlated with total branch number, and 100 leaf area and length of the longest shoot. Path coefficients analysis revealed that total stem weight and 100 leaf weight showed high and total branch height exhibited low direct positive effect on leaf yield. But total branch number, 100 leaf area showed negative and length of longest shoot showed very low positive direct influence on leaf yield. Therefore, it is quite clear that increase in stem weight will increase the leaf yield. So maximum weight should be given to total stem weight, and 100 leaf weight followed by total branch height for the improvement of mulberry.
