Globoid cell leukodystrophy was diagnosed in seven West Highland White Terrier pups. They came from three different litters but had the same father. The diagnosis was based on the signs of progressive myelopathy, exclusion of mechanical or infectious causes, familial aspect and mostly on typical histopathological findings.
