[Phosphorus, copper and zinc content of current rations for fattening and breeding pigs]

Phosphorus, copper and zinc contents of current rations were investigated in 187 pig fattening and breeding farms. The average P content of the diets fed to piglets amounts to 7.0 g/kg feed and thus corresponds to feeding allowances (6.8 P/kg feed) to a large extent. Altogether, this field survey underlines the still existing possibilities to significantly reduce the amount of P, Zn and Cu fed to pigs.
