Floristic changes from the native forest to anthropogenic communities subjected to different pasture managements in a trumao soil (Valdivia, Chile)

In a trumao soil of the Pelchuquin serie, located 121 km west from San Jose de la Mariquina village, province of Valdivia (Chile) the floristic changes produced by the fell of the native forest and the establishment of an anthropic community subjected to different pasture managements systems varying in time and intensity of use are studied. The floristic analysis was made comparing plants lists obtained from partially tables, made up by vegetation samples taken with the phytosociological methods in the native forest, two forest pastures, a dairy-cattle prairie with intensive management, a trampling corridor, and a degraded prairie with crop rotation. The native forest has a large floristic difference with all the managed communities. Number, stratification and total cover of the vegetation were reduced from the native forest to the different resultant communities. The grasses and legumes increased in the pasture. In the native forest the autochthonous flora dominates and in the other communities the alochthonous. Only the biological spectrum of the native forest was complete and dominated by phanerophytes, while in the pastures hemicryptophytes dominated and in the degradated prairie, the therophytes. Humidity and temperature determining the plant distribution are the main abiotic factors altered by the management. The anthropogenic biotops became more xeric
