Hellenurme, A. (Estonian Agricultural Univ., Tartu (Estonia))
In the previous paper an account on calcium and phosphorus content of Estonian mixed feed was given. Besides in 345 samples trace elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) were determined. The results of these analyses are given in this paper. Trace elements content of layers mixed feed was as follows: Fe - 186,1, Cu - 9,7, Zn - 60,5 and Mn - 45,5 mg/kg. The mixed feed of other groups of hen had a similar trace element content. The mixed feed of turkey contained more iron, but less copper and manganese. The mixed feed of swine was rich in iron and zinc, excluding piglets starter which contained zinc twice less than the mixed of other groups of swine. In the mixed food of cattle concentration of iron was also high.
