The lime content in an old person's bones is only half of that of a child's bones. The explanation for this is that excess phosphates that get into the body with the consumption of proteins can leave the body only when they are linked to calcium. The source for this calcium is the bone system. To prevent osteoporosis it is necessary to alleviate the calcium deficiency of the body. A practical way to do this is the consumption of calcium fortified breads. In an experiment breads and rolls fortified with lime powder were test marketed at the local market. The products were differentiated by appearance and logos and there was a promotion campaign as well. A special, patented mixture allows also other bakeries to make similar breads
