The possibilities of decreasing the dosage of bentazone by means of adding different adjuvants (Citowett, an alkil-aril-polyglycol ether; Agropon, a white oil; Hyspray, an etoxilated fat amine; and Wettol D l or phenol-sulphone acid, an anion-active tensid) in peas were examined. The adjuvants enabled the dosage of bentazone to be decreased from 1440 to 720 g/ha a. i. Against weeds with a waxy cuticle, bentazone in combination with adjuvants proved to be more effective than without them
