According to the standpoint of the Hungarian packaging industry, packaging may be considered as a measure of the protection of the environment, since it protects the product from becoming refuse. As for the regulating systems aimed at minimizing packaging waste, they reject the ones the objective of which is the protection primarily of the market and not of the environment, as well as the selective waste retrieval lacking the guarantee of recycling
