Series of experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of 16 genetic combinations resulted from 4x4 diallel crosses at grandparent level on performance of commercial broiler hybrids. Results of analysis of variance indicated that the most superior groups of progeny were among birds produced by parents coming from sires coded with 11x14 and mated with different types of dams as far as 56 days body weight and feed conversion efficiency are concerned. General combining ability was the highest, for body weight, in mating of 11x14 males with other groups
