[Selection of rice callus resistant to salt]

After the seeds of rice variety "Pyongyang no. 15", "Onchon no. 7" and "Samjiyon no. 1" were irradiated by gamma rays 30 kGy and treated by ethylene imine 0.05% for 15 hours, the salt resistant callus was selected by using the embryo cultured callus. In N6 changing medium, alive callus was selected, increasing NaCl to 2%, 3% from 1.5%. The period of salt treatment was 25 days in 1.5%, 20 days in 2% and 10 days in 3%
