[Study on the mutagenesis by using multishoot on medium]

In peppermint the mutation breeding was established by callus, and in practice, the variant which had more resistance to disease and cold than original variety and recommended variety, was selected. After getting the multishoot from ground root meristem, it was treated by mutation stimulator. In case of treating the mutation factor the multishoot, the mutation frequency was increased to 1.5 X 10** (-1) - 3.6 x 10** (-1) against treatment of seed or plant as 10** (-4) - 10** (-2)
