Factors influencing forage intake and milk production

Factors having negative or positive influence on forage intake and milk production have been studied. The results of the research show the following relationship: hay intake increases with a decreasing fibre content and increasing digestability, forage intake is negatively influenced by. The fermentation process in the silo, a positive relationship is between the concentration of residual water soluble carbohydrates and silage dry matter intake. The resulting data of the research are given in two tables
