Eight clonal lines of local crosses including two check varieties were studied for their yield performance, disease resistance and quality of the tubers including the internal and external characters (tuber size skin colour, eye position tuber shape, flesh colour) for three years. Out of the lot put to trial clone No.70 x NO86.P16 had the highest yield of 39.170 mt./ha. but at par with K.Sinduri x Multa P.16, Cardinal x Desiree P1, respectively. In case of other genotypes i.e. (Des x Jose P50) x (Ack x USA-5) P5, Cardinal check, Cardinal x L. Faisal P2 and Desiree check on an average recorded yield of 34.416, 33.424, 32.730 and 30.241 mt./ha. respectively. High disease tolerance was exhibited by all the clones as compared to check variety Desiree. Highest % age of dry matter contents were found in K. Sinduri x Multa P16 and Cardinal x L. Faisal P2 as compared to check variety Cardinal i.e. 21.80% 21.60% and 20.78% respectively. Skin colour flesh colour was also very attractive and free of any visible tuber disorder/disease i.e. cracking and scab etc. in these clones.
