Exotic red skinned germplasm evaluation studies which comprised of CB80-55-16R, Bartina, Kondor, C82-17-53R, Desiree (check), Wal 82-161, Amadeus and S81-38-3R varieties were conducted during autumn season of 1992-1994 at Potato Research Station, Sialkot. These studies were carried out according to randomized complete block design in four replications. The observations were recorded for foliar diseases, yield performance specific gravity and dry matter contents. As a result of these studies the standard variety Desiree which has become seriously susceptible to late blight verticillium, foliar and tuber diseases and fusarium can be replaced by new variety CB80-55-16R as it proved tolerant to above maladies.
