Influence of place of the preservative addition to green fodder in gathering straw cutter on uniformity of intermixing both components

Evaluation of the uniformity of intermixing the sodium benzoate with the green fodder has been carried out using quantitative determination benzoic acid in green fodder samples with the spectrophotometrical method. The best uniformity of intermixing has been obtained by addition of the preservative before the packing roll assembly and into the disintegration assembly of the straw cutter. Statistic differences have been stated between values of the index of uniformity of intermixing the preservative with the green fodder depending on a place of addition of the former to the latter in the gathering straw cutter
