Determination of GCA:SCA ratio in spring wheat and its genetic interpretation

The studies were conducted in 6 years upon 5 homozygous lines of spring wheat and 20 F1 hybrids obtained from a full diallel cross. The lined were derived from the following cultivars: Azteca and Sari 70 (Mexico), Cesar (France), Sharbati Sonora (India) and 13932-USA (USA). The following characters were measured: plant height, tillering, number of grains per ear, plant yield and 1000 grain weight. GCA and SCA and the ratio of GCA:SCA were estimated. The results indicated that plant height is determinated by additive gene and for inheritance another characters is very important influence of environment
