Virginiamycin supplementation of diets for dairy cows

An experiment on 30 lactating cows given 40 mg virginiamycin in diet was carried out. The higher by 9.1 percent milk yield as well as by 0.35 percent fat content and by 0.32 percent protein content in the milk of cows given the virginiamycin supplemented diet than in that of control ones was stated. No effect of diet virginiamycin addition on feed conversion efficiency in dairy cows was observed
