Carbon dioxide production by soil and its emission in the course of nitrogen containing substances mineralization

Net mineralization of 14N in a leached chernozem, grey forest and sod-podzolic soils has been determined in a vegetation experiment with 15N labelled nitrogen fertilizers. C-CO2 emission was determined simultaneously with the help of membrane sampling devices and glass isolators. Soil nitrogen net mineralization is shown to be conjugated with the cumulative C-CO2 emanations from soil; its ratio to the mineralized nitrogen proved to be equal 4-8, when isolators were used and 40-80 in case of membranes.
