Going through some theoretical and methodological discussions and practical research this paper considers the contribution to the methodology of determining the economic profitability of drainage. The economic effects to be achieved on accomplishing drainage have primarily been stressed. Eventually, the investigation model and the methodological procedure for determining the economic effects on optimizing agricultural production using a linear programming method have been developed. However, the methodology for the economic evaluation of investments using a standard dynamic method has also been given. The methodological procedure described has been applied on an assumed investigational model.
