The effect of sowing date, fertilization and irrigation practice on number of plants at harvest, yield of unprocessed and primary processed seeds and yield in seed units was studied under agroecologic conditions of the South Backa region (Yugoslavia) in 1986/87, 1987/88 and 1988/89. The number of plants at harvest period depended most of all on sowing dates. The comparison of sowing dates and irrigation in the first two years showed the interaction between sowing dates and irrigation practice. Fertilization and irrigation had no effect on yield of unprocessed and primary processed seeds and yield in seed units. Only sowing dates affected these parameters in all years.
