Three soybean varieties (NS-6, NS-9 and Corsoy) were examined for the dependence of plant number at harvest to six dates of sowing (March 31; April 10, 20, 30; May 10, 20) and three sowing densities (400,000; 500,000 and 600,000 viable seeds per hectare). On average, highest numbers of plants at harvest were obtained with the third, fourth and fifth sowing date, the lowest sowing density and the variety Corsoy.
