In Yugoslavia, garlic growing has a long tradition. Domestic (Yugoslav) varieties and populations are most often used for the production. The paper presents three-year results of the comparative analysis of seven clones, obtained from clone selection from domestic (Yugoslav) populations, and the variety Piros. The elements studied are: morphologic characters of bulbs, bulb mass, number of cloves, mass clove, dry matter percentage and yield of spring garlic. All studied clones had significantly higher mass of bulbs, and more and larger cloves than the variety Piros. The average yield for the three years of all clones was by 21.55 higher than the standard.
