[Some morpho-biological characteristics of course grain varieties of beans under agroecological conditions of Zajecar [Serbia, Yugoslavia]]

Considerable variability of characteristics among investigated varieties of beans has been determined. Variability of these characteristics was considerably under the influence of agroecological conditions. When high temperatures were accompanied by lack of soil moisture, which was the case in 1990, vegetation period gets shorter. In 1991 there were not any significant differences among investigated varieties of beans regarding number of seedcase and number of grains (seeds) per plant. Having in mind unfavourable ecological conditions for the development of beans in 1990 it was found out that varieties Galeb and Timok low were stable and well adapted on growing conditions.
