In experiments 1991, 1992 and 1993 in Kaona, Yugoslavia, (600 m above sea level) were tested four (4) cultivars from Canada: Norland, Viking, Chieftain and Red Pontiac and three (3) cultivars from Russia: Prigonskij, Orbita and Granat. The highest yield gave following cultivars from Canada: Red Pontiac (16.680 t/ha), Chieftain (16.480 t/ha) and the cultivar Granat (18.947 t/ha) from Russia. The highest number of tubers (fraction 28-60 mm) was from cultivars Prigonskij, Norland and Chieftain. The highest starch content had cultivars from Russia: Granat (19.32), Orbita (19.05), Prigonskij (17.61) and Norland (17.34) from Canada. The smallest starch content had Red Pontiac (10.96).
