Comparative analysis of labour productivity in production of potato and some other significant farming cultures [Yugoslavia]

The investigation was carried out at two large farms in Srem (Yugoslavia). Improvement in economic position of potato production depends at first on increased labour productivity which when compared with some other significant farming crops production has been low nowadays. Reason for such a low productivity, first of all, lies in low yields and technical equipment of labour. Growth in labour productivity in future will directly depend on quality of seed, application of scientific results in potato production and higher degree of mechanization of working processes.
