In the population of Barbus meridionalis peteniy from Gruza river, (Serbia, Yugoslavia), the distribution of frequency of individuals and age classes shows the decrease from younger to elder ages. About 78 of individuals in sample was at the age to 2+ year and had the length of the body to 107,00 mm and the weight to 14,74 g. In catches the oldest female had 8+ years (225,oo mm), and the oldest male 5+ years (138,10 mm). It pointed out that the females had the longer cycle of life than males. Younger age classes are characterised with larger variability in the dimension of the body. At all the age groups dominate females over the males. In population only about 20 individuals are reproductive active. In that number, as was pointed out, the males were younger than females.
