The parasitoid of whitefly (Encarsia formosa Gahan) is employed with success in Hungary too, against the whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood) in forced vegetable and ornamental plant cultures. The possibility of biological control against the tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Gennadius) - recently appeared in Hungary too - is in the focus of research in many countires in the world
